RESEARCH PROGRAMS The USA research laboratory of the Sbarro Institute is located in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at Temple University Main Campus in the Biolife Science Building. Research programs at the Institute are devoted to understanding the molecular and cellular workings of cancer and cardiovascular disease, the connection between obesity and cancer, and molecular therapeutics. Under the guidance of Antonio Giordano M.D., PhD, talented young scientists from around the globe are given the opportunity to pursue individual research projects that employ the latest biotechnology. These young researchers will usher in a new generation of therapies and diagnostic strategies to help cure disease. SHRO is proud to support their important work.
